The role and what you’ll be getting up to on a day-to-day basis:

At Littlefish, we’re committed to strengthening our cyber capability and ensuring our customers remain protected in an ever‑evolving threat landscape. To support that mission, we’re looking for a Cyber Security Engineer who brings curiosity, technical depth, and a genuine drive to make a meaningful impact across our Cyber Services division.

If you’re someone who thrives on digging into complex security challenges, shaping the tooling that underpins our SOC, and turning advanced concepts into clear, workable solutions for both colleagues and customers, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our continued growth.

You will:

This is a dual‑focused role within our Cyber Services Division, giving you the chance to lead technically while delivering impactful, customer‑facing security work. Your responsibilities include:

  • Taking technical ownership of SOC tooling — especially the SIEM platform.
  • Implementing SIEM solutions for customers, including tuning data feeds and supporting early life operation.
  • Collaborating closely with the SOC to maintain and improve rulesets and use cases.
  • Providing expert cyber thought leadership, guidance, and technical advice to selected customers.
  • Supporting major security incidents with calm, senior‑level expertise.
  • Delivering cyber‑led project engagements, either independently or as part of wider Professional Services projects.
  • Keeping pace with emerging security controls and technologies, helping shape our future tooling roadmap.
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and ISO27001, and championing Equality, Diversity & Inclusion across all work.

What you bring:

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • A strong understanding of SIEM tools and concepts.
  • Experience administering O365, M365 and Azure, with a focus on security features.
  • PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Good knowledge of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Experience managing security controls such as firewalls, IDS, WAFs and network segmentation.
  • Broad technical grounding across Windows, Networking, IAM, monitoring/logging, antivirus, and zero‑touch architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
  • Confidence translating policy and regulation into practical, secure technical solutions.
  • Experience producing security‑focused design documents and diagrams.
