The role and what you’ll be getting up to on a day-to-day basis: 

 Are you ready to drive transformation and inspire high performance at the heart of our Service Desk? 

We are seeking a dynamic Service Desk Operations Manager to lead and develop our technical team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service aligned to ITIL best practice and our organisational values.  

As a senior escalation point and strategic influencer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping service delivery, driving operational excellence, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. 

 

You will: 

  • Provide visionary leadership and development for Service Desk Team Leaders and engineers.
  • Own all aspects of people management, including recruitment, coaching, and capability development.
  • Deliver outstanding customer satisfaction and SLA achievement, while managing tactical goals and contributing to long-term objectives.
  • Champion process improvement, automation, and the seamless transition of new services into operations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the Service Desk at the highest level. 

 

What you bring: 

  • Demonstrable leadership experience—ideally as a Service Desk Team Leader or similar—within a fast-paced IT environment.
  • Deep knowledge of ITIL or SDI best practice, and hands-on expertise with ITSM tools and Enterprise technologies.
  • Exceptional people management and coaching skills, with a passion for developing talent.
  • A strategic mindset, able to balance operational delivery with long-term vision.
  • The ability to influence, inspire, and drive positive change across teams and with customers.
